Ms Vicky Fung
Senior Health Informatician, Hospital Authority
Vicky Fung is the Senior Health Informatician working at the Hospital Authority (HA). Vicky has a nursing and health information management background. She has been managing various clinical information systems and information standards projects at the Hospital Authority since 1992. She directed the development of policies and related procedures on management of over 9 million records’ patient master index. Under her management, the Hospital Authority Clinical Vocabulary Table (HACVT) was developed to support clinicians’ direct entry of diagnoses and procedures at point-of-care. Her model on information architecture (IA) has successfully built a ‘womb-to-tomb’ longitudinal patient record and share clinical data across modules / systems internally and externally. She is leading various clinical informatics projects, e.g. patient administration system, patient-under-care architecture, master diagnosis list, revamp of the obstetric system, and patient assessment. Vicky is also leading the eHR Information Standards Office to develop and manage various health information standards for the Hong Kong eHR.
