Ms Teresa Ngan
Senior Pharmacist, Hospital Authority
Ms Teresa Ngan is the Senior Pharmacist from the Chief Pharmacist’s Office (CPO) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority Head Office. She graduated in Alberta, Canada with a Pharmacy degree and has practiced as a registered pharmacist in both Canada and Hong Kong. She has also obtained a Bachelor degree in Chinese Medicine and a Master degree in Clinical Epidemiology from Australia.
Ms Ngan possesses broad experience in evidence-based drug database development, and epidemiological surveillance and research projects in both conventional and Chinese medicines. She is currently supervising the Pharmacy Informatics and Automation Technology Section in managing quality drug data and pharmacy system in support of the HA clinical and operation services; and leading several pharmacy projects involving advanced technology in service delivery. With her expertise and experience, Ms Ngan has been advising on the territory-wide drug standards development in the eHR project and its clinical application.
Ms Ngan is current appointed member of the “Chinese Medicine Development Committee” and “Chinese Medicines Industry Subcommittee” of the Government of the HKSAR, and also the “Pharmacy and Poisons (Registration of Pharmaceutical Products and Substances: Certification of Clinical Trial / Medicinal Test) Committee" of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong.
