Prof Cecilia Li

Prof. Cecilia Li-Tsang obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a registered occupational therapist in Hong Kong and Canada, with more than 30 years of clinical and academic experiences in the field of occupational therapy. She has over 20 years of experience, in both academic teaching and research, in the field of rehabilitation. She is specialized in paediatric rehabilitation, burn and scar management and hand rehabilitation. Prof. Li has successfully bid for research grants in paediatrics, such as Quality Education Fund and funding from Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, of over 5 million dollars (HK).

She has published 80+ journal articles, chef editor of 3 books, 10+ book chapters, 100+ conference papers, and numerous news release to the media. She is also an associate editor of the Hong Kong Journal of Occupational Therapy, and the WORK Journal. She also serves as a reviewer for a number of internationally renowned journals, namely, Hand Surgery, BURNS, Journal of Burn Care and Research, Research in Developmental disabilities, Journal of Intellectual Disabilities, Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery etc.

Currently, she is appointed as a clinical consultant at the Rehabilitation Clinic of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as legal consultant for evaluation of legal claims. She is currently a committee member of the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, HKSAR and the Committee on Students with Special Needs, Hong Kong Examination and Assessment Authority.
